How we got here

Ellyson Enterprises was built on more than steel. It was built on family sacrifice, and I believe that hard work still matters. Founded in 2017 with one truck and a willingness to take on any challenge, the company grew through long days, late nights, and a commitment to doing right by both customers and employees. From the beginning, the goal was never just to build structures but to build something people could believe in and be proud to stand behind.

As the company grew, so did the team behind it. What started with one person became a group of driven individuals who shared the same values: accountability, craftsmanship, safety, pride in a job well done. Every beam set, every weld completed, and every project delivered represents the collective effort of people showing up for work day after day.

Today, Ellyson Enterprises operates out of a 35,000 sq ft facility in Glendale, Arizona, supporting our growing team and the capabilities to take on larger and more projects across Arizona. Now serving some of Arizona's most recognized commercial and industrial projects with a team of more than 40 employees and growing, Ellyson Enterprises stayed true to its roots through every stage of growth.

The company continues to operate with the mindset of a family business, building repeatable systems and processes that create long-term stability, opportunity, and trust for both employees and clients. The vision remains simple: invest in good people, grow organically, and build a company that future generations of Arizona workers can be proud to call their own.

Brad Ellyson

Founder & President

Brad Ellyson is the founder and president of Ellyson Enterprises, a Glendale, Arizona based steel fabrication and erection company built through hands on experience, hard work, and persistence. Originally from Bellingham, Washington, Brad earned his welding degree at 18 and spent years working as a pipe welder and project manager with companies including BP Cherry Point and Matrix Services before moving to Arizona in 2017 and starting Ellyson Enterprises out of his garage. Through quality workmanship and word of mouth referrals, the company quickly grew from small welding jobs into a trusted steel contractor.

Today, Brad leads a team of more than 40 employees operating out of a 35,000 square foot facility, serving many of Arizona's leading commercial, industrial, and municipal clients. Under his leadership, Ellyson Enterprises has grown into a fully vertical steel operation built on accountability, craftsmanship, and long term growth.

James Weeks

Operations Manager

James Weeks serves as Operations Manager at Ellyson Enterprises, where he oversees project management, shop operations, field operations, logistics, maintenance, and company safety initiatives. With a lifetime in the trades and construction industry since the age of 14, James has built his career through hands on field experience, operational leadership, and a strong understanding of fabrication and construction management. He brings extensive experience in budgeting, process development, team leadership, and OSHA focused safety systems that help keep projects running efficiently and safely.

Since joining Ellyson Enterprises, James has played a key role in strengthening daily operations, improving accountability, and supporting the company's continued growth across Arizona. A husband and father of three, he is passionate about building strong teams, developing repeatable systems, and creating opportunities for the people around him to succeed.

Tom Bern

General Manager

Tom brings nearly 50 years of experience in industrial construction, project management, logistics, and procurement to Ellyson Enterprises. Beginning his career in 1976 working in oil refineries throughout California, Tom advanced into leadership roles managing large scale industrial projects across California, Alaska, and Washington. Over the course of his career, he developed extensive expertise in project coordination, procurement, scheduling, operations management, and overseeing complex field execution across multiple trades and disciplines.

As Brad's father in law, Tom joined Ellyson Enterprises just six months after the company was founded in 2017 and has been part of the fabric of the organization ever since. Today, he leads procurement and logistics operations, helping keep projects organized, supplied, and moving efficiently from fabrication through erection. His decades of industry experience, steady leadership, and commitment to the company continue to play a major role in the growth and success of Ellyson Enterprises.
